A Grateful Heart...

After the tragic events of the past week, hot on the heels of hurricanes, tornadoes and fires, what a blessing to celebrate Thanksgiving this long weekend! This is the time for hearth, home, family and friends, time to enjoy the bountiful harvest. So easy to take for granted the place and time in which we live - with ease we can follow today’s trend of eating locally, seasonally, fresh from the farm & ocean. Hard to imagine waiting hungry for the meagre food parcel to arrive.

Our team of individuals all are grateful for our free country, our right to vote, truly beautiful BC, the luscious fruit and vegetables everywhere, the love and kindness of our family and friends, our good health and ability to travel... the list can go on and on!

Personally, we are grateful for the lessons learned along the way - the mistakes which made us wiser - the bonus which comes with age! A lovely quote from Patience Strong - “thankful for the undertones as well as the melody”. ‘Living in gratitude’ has become a good, popular mantra & this designated weekend is a great reminder. Time to savour the moments, reconnect and enjoy good company & good memorable times.

The most delightful occasion of the past week was the installation of the 29th Governor General of Canada, former astronaut, the multi talented Julie Payette. What a wonderful choice! Her 20 minute speech (with no notes) was inspirational and made us truly grateful to be Canadian. She will be an amazing foreward thinking ambassador and example for our young people.

Professionally, our team is unendingly grateful for the loyalty and friendship of our clients, who entrust their family, friends and colleagues to us to look after their real estate needs. A heartfelt thank you. And, grateful to our Re/max colleagues who band together to support our community wherever there is need. We can do so much more together.

So...wherever you are celebrating, from our families to yours, we wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! And may the beat go on!

Sheila, Michelle & Shane
