TGIF: Why Living in Port Moody is The Next Big Thing!

Friday, November 3, 2017

After our glorious summer of sunshine, it is hard to imagine a wet snowy winter like last year, but the meteorologists are telling us to be prepared. But how does a growing homeless population get prepared? With our help. Start collecting those blankets, sleeping bags (lightly used), warm & rainproof clothing - coats, hats, gloves, scarves, new socks and underwear, ready for our 23rd annual Realtors Care blanket drive.

From November 14 - 21, our RE/MAX Sabre office (102-2748 Lougheed Hwy, Port Coquitlam) will be collecting all these items, which will be distributed by our volunteers to charities within our own community. This, the longest running blanket drive in the Lower Mainland, is organized by realtors across the region, so if you are reading this from another location, there will be offices in your area collecting. 20,000 residents are kept warm and dry each year from this initiative. If you are unable to drop off, please call our team and we’ll help!

Our new developments are doing a grand job advertising Port Moody and bringing people in, as mentioned in this week's Daily Hive article "Why Living in Port Moody is the Next Big Thing. "Port Moody. It’s trending right now for all the right reasons and you can easily picture yourself living there when you spend even just one day in the area. With the recent completion of the Evergreen Extension and West Coast Express, commuting from Vancouver couldn’t be easier." Referenced is our popular Brewers Row, our pedestrain hub, our abundance of trails, our waterfront views, our convenient transit, and of course, our exciting new developments in the area.

Don’t forget to support our Vets & buy a poppy in advance of Remembrance Day because it reminds others!

Also - be sure to remember daylight savings time - turn your clocks back Saturday night.

No matter the time of year, we have you covered.

Enjoy that extra hour!
Michelle, Sheila and Shane
